- Understand your personal budget
- Pre-qualify yourself to answer how much 'house' you can afford
- Understand the total monies that you will pay; it's more than the price of the home (ie. home insurance, interest, and more)
- Recognize most Homebuyer Classes are required for down-payment assistance
Dennis brought forms to get you started: Personal Budget Worksheet, Pre-Qualification Worksheet, and Up-Front, Out-of-Pocket Expenses to Buy a Home. Go to Working in Neighborhoods Homebuyer Training Classes to learn more.
