Before building a home, the plans must conform to building and zoning codes. Most tiny homes are built on wheels to avoid these codes. In Cincinnati, there are a couple of related codes or ordinances that would make tiny, sustainable development difficult to accomplish.
Back in February, I presented my project to City Council’s Education and Entrepreneurship Committee and a few aspects of the City’s Municipal code that could be altered to encourage permanent tiny homes, off wheels, as a viable building type in Cincinnati.
